Crash refreshing checkout once customer session has expired

Preconditions and environment

• CE 2.4.8-p3
• Using BSS Commerce One Step Checkout v2.4.2.1

Steps to reproduce

1. Login as a customer
2. Place items(s) in cart and visit the checkout
3. Leave checkout open in browser and wait for customer login session to expire
4. Refresh checkout

Expected result

Should be taken to login page or page saying cart empty. Anything other than a crash.
